What your teen builds

A real project, start to finish, in four weeks.

  • Four weeks, two live sessions a week, plus a weekly office-hours block for extra help.
  • Groups of five. Your teen is known, not a face in a crowd.
  • Hands-on from day one. They build a real project, they don’t just watch slides.
  • Ends in a Showcase where they present what they made to you and the other parents.

Jake Woodward and his family

Who’s teaching this

I'm Jake. I live on Grand Island, and I have six kids of my own.

I’ve been part of the Western New York community my whole life. I have spent 25+ years in tech, more than ten of them as a VP leading teams and shipping real products — and these days AI is part of how I build every single day. As a parent myself, “how do we get this right for our kids” isn’t an abstract question for me. I started the Academy because I want the kids here to grow up using this technology with confidence and good judgment, not fear.

As a parent, I built this the way I’d want it built for my own. Small groups. Recorded sessions. A real adult you can check out before you trust him with your teen. That’s the whole point.

How scholarships work

Local businesses pay us to put AI to work. That money sends teens to the Bootcamp.

The Academy helps Western New York businesses use AI honestly and well, and every dollar of that work funds scholarship seats for local teens whose families could use the help. If you need a scholarship, you apply. If one is open, it’s yours.
