Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2, 2026
Genny AI, a DBA of Kitchanga, LLC, operates gennyai.org and the Genny AI Academy programs. This Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
Who this involves
Parents/guardians who browse, enroll a teen, or contact us; teens (13–17) who participate after a parent enrolls and consents; business/workshop clients; and site visitors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 gave us information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.
What we collect
- Registration & contact data: parent name, email, phone; teen first name and age; emergency contact.
- Payment data: processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation and limited details (e.g., last four digits); we do not store full card numbers.
- Program activity: attendance, projects your teen builds, messages in the Genny community, scholarship application info.
- Session recordings: live sessions (including any one-on-one video) are recorded as part of our child-safety model.
- Basic device/usage data when you visit the Site, for functionality and basic analytics.
How we use it
To deliver and administer our programs; process payments and scholarships; operate our child-safety measures (recording, monitored communication, parent access); communicate with you about your enrollment; and keep our Site secure and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use teens’ personal information for targeted advertising.
AI tools
During the Bootcamp, teens build using Lovable and related AI tools under supervision. Teens are instructed not to enter personal or sensitive information into AI tools. Those third-party tools process inputs under their own terms and privacy policies.
When we share information
Only with service providers that help us operate, under contract and limited to what they need (e.g., Stripe for payments, our community/hosting platform, Zoom (video sessions and recordings), our email provider, and Lovable); with authorities where required by law or to address a safety concern (including mandated reporting of suspected child abuse); and a successor in a business transfer, subject to this Policy.
Session recordings (special handling for minors)
- Recordings are stored securely and are not published publicly.
- Access is limited to Genny staff and the enrolled teen’s parent (on request; one-on-one video is shared with the parent promptly).
- Retention: through the Bootcamp + 90 days, then deleted — and deleted sooner on written parent request, except where we must retain a recording to address a safety or legal matter.
Your choices & rights
You may access, correct, or request deletion of your and your teen’s personal information, and request that recordings be deleted, by emailing [email protected]. We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, with particular care for minors’ data and recordings.
Changes & contact
We may update this Policy; the “Last updated” date will change, and material changes affecting active enrollments will be communicated. Contact: [email protected]. Genny AI, a DBA of Kitchanga, LLC, New York.
